Multi-grain fish porridge with broccoli and carrot

My Multi-grain Fish Porridge with broccoli and carrot Ingredients: Multi-grain rice consist of brown rice, red rice - 2 cups Fresh fish meat (any fish which is less bone) Broccoli - cut into small size and blanched Carrot - cut into small cube Dry scallop Soy sauce, sea salt, sesame oil to flavour the porridge Sprinkle with a smash of pumpkin seed and black sesame Filtered water - 5 cups (1.25 litre) depending on the thickness of porridge you desire (served 4) I blanched the broccoli earlier and put aside. Cook the rice and fish together for 20 minutes - removed the fish and put aside. Before 5 minutes the porridge completely cooked, return fish and broccoli into porridge and stir well. Served hot sprinkle with pumpkin seed and black sesame as garnish. Enjoy your porridge slowly while it is still piping hot... Have a nice day!

My First Popiah

My Ugly Looking Popiah in year 2014 Popiah (pȯh-piá) is a Fujianese/Chaoshan-style fresh spring roll common in South East Asia. A popiah "skin" (薄餅皮) is a soft, thin paper-like crepe or pancake made from wheat flour. Main Ingredients: Popiah skin shredded omelette filling of finely grated and steamed or stir-fried turnip thinly sliced fried tofu shredded cucumber Can eaten with a sweet sauce (often a bean sauce), a blended soy sauce or hoisin sauce or a shrimp paste sauce and optionally with hot chili sauce before it is filled. The filling is mainly finely grated and steamed or stir-fried turnip (known locally as mengkuang) Additional ingredients suggestion: bean sprouts, french beans, lettuce leaves, grated carrots, Chinese sausage slices, chopped peanuts or peanut powder, fried shallots,  The method of producing the wrapper involves making an extremely wet and viscous dough. My wrapper is not wet enough. It looks dry... Not easy...

Nutritional ABC Soup

Nutritional ABC Soup Why is it called ABC soup? When I was young, my mum used to boiled this soup for me and my brother for dinner together with other dishes. I asked my mum what is this soup called? She answer "It's ABC soup!" But why?  A - Contain Vitamin A - Carrot B - Contain Vitamin B - Potato C - Contain Vitamin C - Tomato My mum said this soup is super easy to prepare and nourishing and thus this unique ABC soup has been inherited from my mum generation until now...my daughter and son can enjoy it anytime they wish....yes anytime they wish! Ingredients: Tomato - cut into half Potato - cut into small cubes Carrot - cut into small cubes Onion - peeled and sliced thick Chicken pieces with bones 1 tsp crushed pepper corn sea salt to taste filtered water Method: Boiled for 2 hours You may add corn maize (not in the ingredients) for sweeter taste Not much ingredients left in my fridge as I never go to market. Ingredients: Lettuce Onion Boiled egg Boiled potato Boiled baby carrot Japanese cucumber German black pepper sausage Dressing suggestion : Mild mayonnaise or Kewpie roasted sesame or apple cider vinegar.
