From Bakuteh to Chikuteh Bakuteh comes from a chinese word which mean; Bak-kut-teh is a pork rib dish cooked in broth popularly served in Malaysia and Singapore, where there is a predominant Hokkien and Teo Chew community. But in my dish I modified it to put chicken drumstick instead of pork rib. Even though the smell is not as aromatic as "ba ku teh", but this is a more healthier version minus the oily fat comes from pork rib. This "chic ku teh" taste mild but still delicious for those who opt for healthier version.
