My Childhood Dish Steam Minced Tofu With Fish Paste
This steam tofu dish reminded me of my childhood dish when I was in my primary school years. My mum would called this dish by the name "lou yao pin onn" (translated to chinese).
Means everyone no matter young or old, toddler or senior folks, you will feel safe/secure to consume it as tofu dish is a very soft and smooth dish.

Ingredients:
chopped garlic
chopped spring onion
Ingredient (A):
Fresh white tofu / square tofu - 1 large pc
Fresh fish paste - either homemade or purchase at morning market - put your on desired amount
sesame oil
soy sauce
a pinch of sea salt to taste
a pinch of pepper to taste
Method:
Fried chopped garlic in a hot pan using cooking oil.
Fried until fragrance or turn golden brown. Put aside.
Meanwhile transfer all Ingredients (A) into another big stainless steel plate.
Mix and stir well until all ingredients are combined nicely.
By using a metal spoon, press slightly hard just to combined tofu mixture to make a tidy tofu paste.
Now is time to steam the tofu.
Using either a steamer or wok. If you are using wok, place 1/3 of water into the wok.
Bring the water to a boil over a high heat. When you hear water bubbling and see steam start to emerge from the pot, then it' ready...
Place a steamer stand onto the wok.
Transfer the tofu plate to steam the tofu for 10 minutes.
Cover the wok and reduce the heat to medium.
Once it is done, sprinkle some fried garlic together with the oil and top with chopped spring onion as garnished.
